Christmas is now truly upon us! I hope you are able to attend one of our Christmas services. We have a family service with Pageant and Eucharist at 4 p.m. December 24 as well as a more traditional Christmas Eve Eucharist at 10 p.m. You can also join us Christmas Day at 10 a.m. for worship and communion.

While the stores are moving on to Valentine’s Day, we know that Christmas goes from December 25 through January 5, and I hope that you find light and joy each and every day of Christmas.

After the buildup and expectations of October, November, and December, Christmas can sometimes seem like an anti-climax. But, in fact, the season has just begun. The good news of God incarnate is present with us, a tangible sign of God’s love.
So remember that the light and message of Christmas is carried within you and it is a light you can share with your family, friends and the world. Even as the stores move on, we can remember the enduring Good News given to each one of us. To quote one of my favorite books, “Maybe Christmas (he thought) doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more.”
