From Mother Pippa 5.20.2020

This Thursday, May 21, is the Feast of the Ascension. This feast commemorates the day that Jesus returned to heaven, forty days after the Resurrection of Easter. Ascension also falls ten days before the gift of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. I hope you will join us Thursday at noon for our Ascension-focused service.

Speaking of Pentecost, Monday, May 25 is your last chance to sign up to be a part of the Pentecost Gifts event! We will be leaving gifts on people’s doorsteps on Sunday, May 31 to celebrate Pentecost, which is also called the birthday of the church. The gifts don’t need to be elaborate – cookies, a favorite book, a candle or two, or something dove-themed (no live doves please), or something else you think would brighten the recipient’s day. Though we still are social distancing, we can still bring the light and love of the Holy Spirit to those around us. Please email me if you would like to be included.

We had some difficulty with Zoom last Sunday, so please do note that the links below are all new. Please use these links and not the old links to attend the various online events.

I hope you are staying safe and warm and were not swept away by all the water this week. As we continue forward, life will continue to look different. However, I believe that in loving God and one another, we will find our way forward.

Prayers and blessings,
Mother Pippa
